We have an immediate opening for a full-time Civil Project Engineer or Civil Project Manager with a focus on water resources and drainage analysis to be located in either our Sioux Falls, SD, Mitchell, SD, or Watertown, SD offices. Primary Duties: Working with other engineers, surveyors, and technicians to complete engineering studies and designs, drawings, layouts, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided drafting software, computer modeling software, and other design and analysis methods and tools. Work also entails field investigations and inspections. The position will focus on water resources and drainage design, project management, mentoring staff, and oversight of transportation, municipal, and private development type projects. Qualifications: Civil Project Engineer / Project Manager position requires a BS degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of related water resources design/engineering and/or project management experience. A South Dakota Professional Engineer license is preferred but not required. Requires proven technical knowledge to complete technical drainage analysis and engineering designs. Knowledge of DOT and/or typical municipal standards and competence with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation/InRoads is preferred. The ideal candidate shall be self-motivated, organized, able to communicate effectively both written and orally, able to work in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal skills.
