Senior Transportation Roadway Engineer – Maumee, OH Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of transportation design plans
and 3D models for ODOT and local agency roadway and municipal projects.
Perform and review design calculations , including drainage design, quantities, maintenance of traffic, and pavement design.
Prepare complete design packages , including special provisions, construction estimates, and bid documents for milestone submittals.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship
to junior engineers and technicians.
Collaborate across disciplines
and support ODOT, LPA, and MDOT projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout design and delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
10–15 years of roadway or transportation design experience
Proficiency in MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D highly desirable
Strong understanding of ODOT and LPA design standards
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and project coordination skills
