Contribute to mechanical design efforts across all phases of the project lifecycle: programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration; Design and analyze HVAC, hydronic, exhaust, ducting, and piping systems, with a focus on cleanroom and critical environment performance; Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architectural, electrical, structural, and process engineering disciplines; Opportunity to supervise and mentor junior mechanical engineers and designers to ensure delivery of coordinated, code-compliant designs; Perform mechanical system calculations (CFM, static pressure, pump head, load analysis, etc.) using advanced software tools; Review vendor submittals and coordinate with equipment suppliers and contractors to ensure design intent is met; Participate in field walks, punch lists, site inspections, and commissioning activities; Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards including ASHRAE, SMACNA, IBC, and local mechanical codes; Support project management with scope definition, schedule development, and budget monitoring; Contribute to the continuous improvement of Page, now Stantec, design standards and digital delivery workflows. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for complex industrial or high-tech facilities; Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Expertise in cleanroom design, ISO classifications, and pressurization control is a strong advantage; Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical analysis tools such as Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, or similar; Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with clients, team members, and project stakeholders; Experience working within fast-paced, technically demanding design and construction environments; Willingness to travel domestically as needed; Ability to pass a background and security clearance required by the client.
