Industrial Electricians
to join our water/wastewater division. We look forward to reviewing your resume. As an Industrial Electrician, you will contribute the team by performing skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, overhaul, repair, and testing of power generating and distribution equipment, rotating equipment, and their associated digital and analog controls. Responsibilities
Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit, using tools such as band saw, pipe threaders, and conduit benders Pulling wiring through conduit Splicing wire by stripping insulation, twisting wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps Connecting wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, using hand tools Installing distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools Connecting power cables to equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and motors, and installing grounding leads Testing continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments Observing functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement Repairing faulty equipment Following safety rules Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of industrial electrical experience Previous experience in water/wastewater preferred Experience bending/working with PVC coated rigid conduit Mechanical aptitude Motor controls experience preferred Willing to work in confined spaces Willing to work at heights Able to work 10+ hour shifts / OT Physical Requirements
Work requires exposure to construction site environments having temperature extremes, dust, fumes, smoke, hazardous substances, and loud noise levels. Up to 70% of the job may include heavy physical work, heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of material that may weigh from 50 to 100 pounds. The position requires the incumbent to climb and work from ladders, scaffolds or aerial lifts, stand or walk for long periods, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours at a time. The position requires the unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders and the upper and lower back as well as visual acuity and depth perception. Pulmonary capacity must be sufficient to permit the use of an air-purifying respirator if required. Job Details
