Ride Control CAD Drafter (2 - 5 years of experience) Hamilton Porter is proud to support a unique opportunity on behalf of one of the Happiest Places on Earth supporting Imagineering’s Ride Studio Attraction Project Team. You will be responsible for ride control system electrical/electronic equipment, Computer Aided Design, (CAD) and drafting activities. Base pay range

$78,000.00/yr - $82,000.00/yr Long Term Contract Opportunity, with chance for full time hire. $38hr. - $40hr. Responsibilities: Interpret electrical control system design requirements and draft original layouts, iterative assembly and detail drawings, schematics, artwork, isometrics, and illustrations. Review and integrate the technical requirements, technical accuracy, and design approach in conjunction with team engineers. Draft electro-mechanical packaging of industrial control panels and enclosures based on high-level concepts from engineers. Select components from WDI preferred manufacturers and draft design detail drawings and schematics for industrial control panels using AutoCAD. Ensure compliance with UL508a and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, and dimension and tolerance practices per ANSI Y14.5. Present and review drafted drawings with controls and mechanical engineers and attend meetings as needed. Model equipment locations in a ride facility design using Revit. Deliver production assembly drawings, detail drawings, bills of material, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment lists. Prepare and release fully developed drawings into internal data management systems. Participate in reviewing engineering drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and other discipline groups, for adherence to drafting standards. Design multi-layer PCB assemblies based on engineering schematics. Basic Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience with drafting drawings for control systems for electromechanical systems. Knowledge of industrial control panel design and components such as PLCs, VFDs, control switches/buttons, enclosures, relays, power supplies, connectors, terminal blocks. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical design standards and codes, including UL508a, NEC, and ASME Y14.5. Proficient in drafting electrical equipment assemblies, schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment schedules. Advanced CAD skills using AutoCAD in 2D (perks if experience with 3D). Disciplined in model and drawing revision control. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Able to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver work in a timely manner. Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Graphics & Design Technology, CAD Design Drafting, or equivalent. Long Term Contract Opportunity, with chance for full time hire. $38hr. - $40hr.
