Guerbet Direct message the job poster from Guerbet Position Summary As a Facility Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant utilities and facility systems in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. You’ll ensure the reliable operation of critical systems like Reverse Osmosis (RO), Water for Injection (WFI), and Pure Steam, supporting manufacturing operations and compliance. Key Responsibilities Facility & Utility Maintenance Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on systems including RO, WFI, Pure Steam, HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressed air, and more Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations Monitor utility performance and maintain accurate GMP documentation (ALCOA principles) Support system upgrades, installations, and certifications Compliance & Safety Follow all safety policies, GMP standards, and regulatory requirements Complete safety documentation and participate in emergency response and on-call rotation Assist with fire protection, alarm systems, and security system maintenance Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing teams Support small capital projects and facility upgrades Contribute to sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives General Facility Work Perform general maintenance (lighting, carpentry, painting, plumbing) Manage spare parts inventory and order non-inventory repair parts Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED (required) Technical School or AS degree (preferred) 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience in a GMP-regulated industry (pharma, biotech, etc.) Technical Skills Strong knowledge of HVAC, RO, WFI, Pure Steam, and other utility systems Experience with boilers, chillers, air compressors, and cleanroom HVAC Familiarity with water, air, gas, steam, and condensate distribution systems Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, climbing ladders, and working in mechanical rooms Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, stoop, and work at heights using ladders or lifts Cognitive & Soft Skills Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills Safety-first mindset and ability to work independently or in teams 4 weeks of PTO Insurance benefits starting Day 1 4% 401(k) match + 2% profit sharing Paid time off for select volunteer opportunities Seniority level
