Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required. Toyon Research Corporation is an industry leader in the areas of complex space and missile systems analysis, aerothermodynamics, payload design and development, and ground and flight testing. Our Aerospace Systems Group provides innovative technical solutions to support aerospace programs for the Department of Defense (DoD) and their agencies. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer to join a team for the design, fabrication, and fielding of aerospace vehicles. Responsibilities Conduct thermal, aerothermal, structural, and related analysis in support of flight vehicle development Generate comprehensive technical briefings and progress updates for internal and external stakeholders Coordinate and oversee manufacturing activities Organize/Orchestrate activities in support of hypersonic testing activities Requirements B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience; or M.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience Experience in design, analysis, and assembly of high-tolerance aerospace hardware A strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and the application of mathematical principles in the fields of mechanics of materials, structural, fluid mechanics, and engineering mechanics. Computer-aided software experience with Solidworks and Creo Experience using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or hypersonic flowfield tools 10-25% travel WE OFFER AN EXCEPTIONAL EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PACKAGE!
