Diesel Technician – Cummins Inc. Job Summary Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision.

Description We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Kansas City, MO. We offer a sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, competitive pay and benefits.

Impact & Responsibilities

Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.

Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.

Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.

Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Engage in ongoing development and certifications on new and existing Cummins products.

Maintain own tools.

Additional Responsibilities

Completes complex internal engine repairs.

Performs engine overhauls unassisted.

Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components.

Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software.

Qualifications

Able to troubleshoot and repair utilizing electronic tooling and published guidelines and material.

This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre‑employment drug testing requirements.

A current valid license is required.

Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience.

Requires a 5‑year motor vehicle report free from major violations.

A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.

Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older.

Education, Licenses, Certifications Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.

Locally Valid Driving Permit (Preferred)

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.

Compensation & Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
