Overview We are seeking a Hospitality Sales Specialist in Lake Hopatcong to help in our Sales Department. The Guest Hospitality Specialist serves as an initial point of contact and ambassador for boating and Bridge Marina. This role is often one of the first points of contact with prospects and will assist with consultation on boat education, training, rentals, boating club, new and used boats, boat slips, boat service, or any need to help guests get on the water.
This role requires an outgoing and friendly personality, very good conversational skills, and exceptional listening skills. The Hospitality Sales Specialist must be customer centric with an interest and ability to be consultative, as well as have good problem‑solving skills. You will be involved in both pre‑ and post‑delivery efforts, maintaining sales areas and products, and supporting Guest Hospitality Sales Lead.
Responsibilities
Greeting guests, either in person when visiting the marina, or via email, phone, or text.
Communicate with guests and teammates to determine needs and then act to support them.
Provide care and support, such as materials management, organization, paperwork administration for guests, and coordinate scheduling of services.
Assist with sales, marketing, customer service strategies, projects, and tasks.
Conduct guest satisfaction projects and initiatives.
Oversee Guest sales and/or advanced guest development.
Supervise various marina or guest projects and initiatives.
Direct day‑day store activities and manage assistant team members from time to time.
Assist with marketing projects and initiatives.
Skills & Characteristics
An interest or desire to work on and around the water with boats and boaters.
Great communication skills: ability to clearly understand guest and team members' needs and effectively communicate directives and expectations.
Desire to be friendly, diplomatic, and polite with guests and team.
Entry level knowledge of principles and methods for sales, including showing, promoting, and selling products and services.
Outgoing, positive, and supportive outlook, maturity, strong work ethic, and enjoyment of helping others.
Organization, managing projects and schedules.
Responsible and accountable for self and those you may lead.
Proactive planner and problem‑solving skills.
Familiarity with up to 30‑foot single engine boats and boating rules and regulations.

Requirements
2‑year customer service experience
2‑year sales or consultative experience
Self‑leadership and managerial experience; maturely leading or overseeing others
Valid clean automobile driver’s license
NJ Boating certificate and boating experience preferred
Good health and physical mobility
Ability to pass a pre‑employment background/drug screen

Location & Schedule This position is located at Lake Hopatcong, NJ. The role is based in an office/retail environment; however, you will be throughout the marina, on boats and docks, and on the water. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in seasonal weather as well as in an office environment, using computer and phone on a regular basis. There will be periods of sitting and standing.
Scheduling is 5 days a week (Tuesday‑Saturday) with occasional weekend or evening hours to accommodate shows or guests appointments.
Compensation The salary range is $50,000–$60,000 per year with incentives plus opportunity for advancement and growth. Compensation is commensurate with experience and abilities.
