Job ID: 1800888. Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team and support IR lab operations. Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness Manage procedural supplies (catheters, guidewires, contrast agents) and restock as needed Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the healthcare team to provide seamless patient care Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards Required Qualifications
One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Essential Skills & Requirements
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication English language proficiency Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment, push/pull, and bend (50-100 lbs) Team collaboration and professional demeanor with diverse staff Technical/motor skills for assisting with procedures and equipment usage Mental ability to handle high-acuity, high-tempo environment; ability to work under supervision or with limited supervision Visual acuity and effective communication abilities Benefits
