We are hiring a Tucson Laboratory Technician with 3-5 years of experience in materials testing and quality control for transportation construction projects. The role involves working under a lab supervisor and may include engineering construction inspections, sampling, testing of materials like concrete, asphalt, and steel, as well as maintaining equipment, facilities, and records related to materials testing. Responsibilities
Testing and Inspection:
Conduct tests on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, and steel according to ASTM, AASHTO, and ADOT methods. Material Sampling:
Collect samples of materials from various locations for testing. Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure proper functioning and calibration of testing equipment. Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of testing results and relevant data. Quality Control:
Assist with procedures to ensure materials meet project specifications. Communication:
Communicate testing results and issues to supervisors and team members. Safety Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment. Certifications Required
