As a Radiology Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our Imaging service line, ensuring our patients receive the best care. Check out this video and learn more and discover the “Power of We.” As a Radiology Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will support our imaging team by: Producing x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clear and undistorted films. Positioning and instructing patients regarding x-ray procedures. Performing x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by Emergency Department and nursing units. Processing films for radiologists’ reading/interpretation following established procedures. Communicating with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone. Maintaining X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; ensuring preventative maintenance is performed regularly; contacting outside service for major malfunctions according to guidelines. Promoting effective working relations and working effectively as part of a department/unit team to meet goals and objectives. Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and meeting the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications
At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience Radiology Technologist II
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in various diagnostic areas, including acute care Current work in an acute care setting performing diagnostic exams, including fluoroscopy (fixed and/or c-arm) and mobile imaging ARRT(R) certification Current Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice Basic Life Support certification (BLS) IV certification—may vary by site Preferred Qualifications
Previous leadership experience 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as a Radiology Technologist Physical Requirements:
