Primary Purpose Of Organizational Unit The Chemistry Department is one of the largest and most complex departments in the College of Arts and Sciences, housing faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, and extensive research funding. It plays a central role in interdisciplinary research and large-scale teaching within the College.
Position Summary The Department of Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor. Primary responsibilities include innovative teaching in our biochemistry curriculum and in the first-year program, with a focus on engaging, evidence-based learning and cooperation in large-enrollment undergraduate courses.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience Experience developing evidence-based teaching programs that support diverse student success, proficiency in cooperative teaching of large-enrollment courses, and a commitment to advancing inclusive educational practices.
