role at
Healthcare & Emergency Solutions . This position involves providing mental health services within a correctional facility, adhering to security protocols. It is a 1099 Contractor role, minimum 13 weeks, with renewal potential. The role is in-person, full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hours daily, in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. The pay range is $56-$66/hour, including a monthly living stipend. Responsibilities
Administer, score, interpret various personality evaluation methods, and prepare comprehensive psychological reports. Assist in inmate classification by identifying behavioral and emotional issues, developing appropriate programs. Complete reports on inmates exhibiting behavioral issues or crises. Facilitate individual and group psychotherapy sessions. Conduct crisis intervention and individual treatment sessions as needed. Provide assessment and referral services for staff and inmates with emotional or substance use issues. Evaluate cadet applicants. Testify as an expert witness in court. Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining confidentiality. Qualifications
Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) from an accredited institution, APA or equivalent accreditation. Pass the EPPP exam and willing to obtain USVI licensure. At least one year of experience in corrections, psychiatric, emergency care, or trauma-informed care. Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities. Experience working with diverse populations. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team. Strong organizational skills. Preferred: Experience with GlobalMed Virtual Health Software. Physical Requirements
Ability to work extended hours. Good vision, corrective lenses if needed. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities. Interpersonal skills and mental alertness required. Additional Details
