South Port Square is a 40-acre campus in Port Charlotte, close to Charlotte Harbor and Punta Gorda. We are a Life Care Services community seeking a hospitality-driven professional to join our team. The role is an LPN/RN position responsible for nursing care and medication administration in a senior living setting. Job Type and Hours
Full-Time 7:00 AM–11:30 PM; Doubles, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. Part-Time 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM. PRN 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM. Responsibilities
Administers medications. Administers treatments, including dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, etc. Assists in direct resident care as necessary. Maintains accurate documentation of medications administered and care rendered. Assists in admission and discharge procedures. Responds to the resident emergency call system as indicated. Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders. Keeps physicians and family aware of changes in resident condition. Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient. Ensures continuity of services and care. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor. Qualifications
LPN/RN currently licensed by the State of Florida in good standing. At least 6 months nursing experience; geriatric involvement preferable. Ability to generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression. Effective communication with residents, families, staff, and visitors. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. What We Offer
