Full‑Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) – Atlantic County Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare (NPBHC) offers therapeutic support services for youth and young adults with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, and intellectual challenges. The team follows a strengths‑based, culturally competent approach that emphasizes individualized care.

Pay Base hourly rate: $45.00–$75.00 per hour. Actual compensation is based on skills and experience.

Job Overview Provide full‑time, in‑home and center‑based weekly therapeutic services for children and adolescents with mental health disorders. The role includes mentoring newly hired therapists and interns, shaping the clinical growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities Offer individual in‑home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions. Conduct bio‑psycho‑social assessments and develop treatment plans. Teach coping, social, and anger‑management skills; reduce risk behaviors such as self‑injury or physical aggression. Support youth and caregivers in making effective decisions to manage behavioral challenges. Collaborate effectively with the Child & Family Treatment Team and other professionals supporting the youth and family. Mentor newly hired therapists and interns, providing guidance, feedback, and support in clinical practices. Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated timeframes (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, etc.). Attend monthly meetings and complete mandatory clinical documentation. Must be able to complete or be willing to train for Bio‑Psycho‑Social assessments.

Requirements Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields. Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); out‑of‑state licenses considered with reciprocity. Minimum 5 years of post‑licensure clinical experience with youth having mental health disorders. Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns. Clinical mental‑health trauma counseling training. Willingness to complete crisis intervention training. Experience with treatment planning, progress notes, initial assessments, and goal setting. Proficiency in CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma‑informed care. Knowledge of DSM‑V for assessments and diagnoses. Experience providing positive behavior supports. Prior experience with children ages 3‑20; intellectual/developmental disability experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting. Submit resume and copies of master’s degree and NJ license or certification. Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. Must be within 25‑30 minutes of service areas. Availability during after‑school hours (12 PM‑8 PM); weekend flexibility is a plus.
