$70,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Location
Two offices located in Lexington, KY. Responsibilities
Evaluation of patients Initiating and progressing exercise programs Determining appropriate modalities and/or manual therapy for each patient Coordinating care with doctors and massage therapists Helping patients accomplish treatment plans and use therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises, instructing, encouraging, and assisting with physical activities and the use of assistive devices Administering physical therapy treatments by giving massages, applying physical agents, and directing treatments performed by aides, technicians, and assistants Evaluating effects of treatments and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing and documenting progress Completing discharge planning by consulting with physicians and other health care workers Designing home exercise programs and instructing patients, families, and caregivers for continuation after discharge Assessing return-to-work goals for workers’ compensation patients and developing treatment plans in consultation with physicians Documenting patient care services in records Maintaining patient confidentiality and safety in the working environment Complying with infection-control policies and maintaining a safe environment Maintaining professional knowledge through education and professional involvement Adhering to legal and professional requirements and advising management on needed actions Contributing to team effort and related results as needed Qualifications
Valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Kentucky At least one year of orthopedic outpatient experience Ability to apply physical modalities and perform manual therapy Dry needling or kinesio taping certification is a plus but not required Basic knowledge of medical Spanish is not required but is a definite plus Seniority level
