Fusion Medical Staffing – Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment at a Plano, Texas facility.
Job Overview As a travel IR Technologist, you will support physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technology. You will prepare patients, operate fluoroscopic equipment, assist with sterile procedures, administer contrast, maintain radiation safety, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with the interventional radiology team.

Qualifications
One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
Valid ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Valid radiologic technologist license in state
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
Other certifications or licenses may be required
Essential Work Functions
Prepare and position patients for IR procedures
Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound)
Assist physicians in sterile field, pass instruments
Monitor and document vital signs and procedural details
Administer contrast media and monitor reactions
Ensure radiation safety measures
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment
Manage and restock procedural supplies
Collaborate with radiology team for patient care
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures
Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking and service excellence
Strong communication skills in English
Literacy and PC proficiency
Physical ability to move equipment (50–100 lbs), remain stationary, bend, push, pull
Interpersonal skills working with diverse personnel
Fine motor skill for procedural assistance
Capacity to handle high‑pressure, variable schedules
