Speech Language Pathologist - Aspire Summit Charter Academy. This position is for Summit Charter Academy in Modesto and is part of Aspire Public Schools. Job Responsibilities

Provide direct, individual and/or small group instruction to identified students on a regularly scheduled basis as required in the IEP Regularly collaborates with team members, parents and related service providers for reviewing student data, ensuring IEP implementation, co-planning and/or co-teaching Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Educational Plans for students who qualify for Related Services pursuant to California educational codes Screen, assess, and provide specialized speech and language services to students, as established by Common Core and English Language Development standards Create and maintain records, files, and reports as required by federal, state, and SELPA regulations Maintain knowledge of current regulations pertaining to special education and meet the minimum IDEA requirements related to case management Maintain a high level of rigor for students with disabilities to ensure equitable access to standards by developing instructional materials and strategies Implement health and mobility supports (1:1 in classroom, toileting needs, health-related needs under supervision of school nurse) and assist with physical needs (lifting/mobility, stretching/exercise routines) Input weekly IEP service tracking and meet all IEP timelines Develop progress monitoring tools for students and share with staff and parents for decisions Communicate with parents regularly about student progress and solicit parent input Collaborate with outside providers as needed with parent consent Provide oversight and support to SLPAs Qualifications

Master’s Degree Valid California Speech-Language Pathology School Services credential or California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services credential with an authorization in Language, Speech and Hearing or Certification of Clinical Competence 1+ years of experience working with students in a school setting Special Requirements

Physical requirements include moving, standing, walking, and occasional lifting; ability to communicate effectively Work authorization: clear the Department of Justice background screening and authorization to work in the United States; TB health clearance renewed every four years Work Environment
