Position Overview As a Wind Site Technician, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of wind turbines, directly addressing maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issues. Your contributions maintain clean, reliable energy for local communities.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair wind turbines with your team to keep communities powered.

Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.

Collaborate with your team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.

Document your work and continuously improve operational processes.

Accurately time code all work activities to support clear tracking of task duration, progress, and operational efficiency.

Who You Are

At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.

Highly developed problem‑solving abilities and an engaged approach to responsibilities.

Safety‑conscious and committed to best practices.

Able to work well with others and enjoy collaborative environments.

Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions, and at heights.

Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English.

High school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship needed.

Salary & Career Growth Base pay range: $27.43 – $33.43 per hour, with performance bonuses and variable compensation based on experience. We also offer:

Up to a $5,000 USD sign‑on bonus (split into $2,500 for qualified candidates and an additional $2,500 for those holding GWO Basic Safety Training, Basic Technical Training, and Advanced Rescue Training).

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

Hearing ability to use telephones, close‑range radios or related devices.

Visual acuity including depth perception, field of vision, and color discrimination.

Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed; requires hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Climb stairs & vertical ladders to heights of 60 to 100 meters and supervise confined‑space work.

Lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Complete required safety training and certifications (LOTO, Electrical Qualification, Fall Arrest & High Angle Rescue & Emergency Descent, Confined Space).

Participate in all training courses, including controlled descent practical exercises.

Weight of employee plus PPE must not exceed 300 lbs; PPE and gear may weigh up to 40 lbs.
