Overview
Clinical Oncology Specialist (Northern Michigan) – The designated territory covers Northern Michigan. The COS is an oncology diagnostics sales role focused on establishing, developing and growing a geography to exceed sales goals. Responsibilities include creating a strategic territory plan, managing business results and ROI, daily sales activity, new account acquisition, retaining and growing the existing customer base, implementing cross-functional initiatives, and establishing processes for patient identification and treatment management. This is achieved through developing trusted relationships, physician and account education, identifying strategic opportunities and delivering innovative solutions. Primary Responsibilities
Learn Natera products, services, processes, policies, key internal teams, and competitor landscape, including payer/reimbursement considerations. Achieve sales objectives and manage revenue and expenses. Develop and maintain key opinion leader (KOL) relationships. Drive strategic business opportunities and partnerships with academic and community cancer centers, clinics, and hospitals within the territory. Develop and maintain a comprehensive business plan to gain and retain new and existing clients in alignment with national goals and organizational values. Execute sales strategies, implement sales and marketing plans, and capitalize on pull-through opportunities. Maintain high level of product, market and competitor knowledge. Implement laboratory services agreements (LSAs). Collaborate with all sales positions, cross-functional teams and market partners to achieve goals. Conduct business in an ethical and transparent manner. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 5+ years in Oncology sales with consistent success. Knowledge of the local oncology market, molecular diagnostics, personalized medicine and reimbursement. Ability to perform overnight travel. Strong leadership, financial management and written/oral communication skills. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Travel up to 50% - 75% within territory. Excellent communication and presentation skills; strategic, forward-thinking; able to work in teams or autonomously; experienced in business analysis with knowledge of Oncology and healthcare trends. Minimum of 5 years in Oncology, Pathology or Laboratory sales with documented results and oncology clinical/medical expertise. Compensation
The total on-target earnings (OTE) package includes a competitive base salary with uncapped quarterly commissions. The package may also include a car allowance and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). OTE is based on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and location. OTE represents potential income achievable by meeting 100% of performance goals and is not a guaranteed amount.
