Starting at $21.00 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities

Assist with preventive maintenance on all equipment under the Director of Plant Operations, including refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup, and hot water systems.

Monitor, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, HVAC, boilers, ventilating and hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and other mechanical/electrical equipment.

Analyze operations of various systems, diagnose problems, and take corrective action.

Assist with plumbing, piping, tubing installation and repair; wire motors.

Install, rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, heat exchangers, replace bearings and seals, and support other mechanics with major repairs.

Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls, switching, and motor controls.

Troubleshoot minor repairs to secondary electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, utility, and refrigeration systems.

Record readings and report any problems or malfunctions to ensure proper operation.

Follow departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures.

Current and valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Trade or vocational school background.
