Associate Technical Designer- TEMP TO PERM
Client Overview The company offers a wide range of womenswear from daytime dresses, sportswear, and evening and cocktail wear.
Position Overview Looking for a candidate with a couple of years’ experience in technical designer and who has knowledge of garment construction and measurements, patternmaking, and fabrications to support the Technical Design Team.
Responsibilities
Manage samples, measure incoming garments, review sample details, and maintain tracking reports of sample status.
Attend and assist with fittings and manage all technical requirements to develop and execute processes in product development while maintaining brand aesthetics and fit standards.
Assist with the fit approval process with the assistance of the Technical Design Team, as needed.
Develop and edit Tech Packs, documenting fit comments, specifications, and bill of materials and create and maintain written reports and records, as needed.
Assist with the flow of information related to the fit process such as tracking samples and communicating with vendors and receive sample packages and steam samples, as needed.
Assist with fit and construction approval process with cross-functional partners to meet all deadlines and raise issues to appropriate level for resolution in a timely manner.
Communicate with overseas offices and factories to support brand quality and on-time delivery of products.
Qualifications
Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in Excel, PDM/PLM applications; Blue Cherry a plus.
1-3 years of Technical Design experience- dresses a plus.
Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
