Salary: $30.00-$45.00

Halter Maintenance is seeking a dedicated and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring that these systems work efficiently and effectively to provide a comfortable and safe environment.

Responsibilities

Maintenance: Regular maintenance is essential to keep HVAC systems operating at their best. You will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance tasks, such as cleaning filters, inspecting components, and testing system performance.

Repairs: When HVAC systems malfunction or encounter issues, you will diagnose the problems and carry out repairs or replacements of faulty components. This involves identifying electrical and mechanical problems, ordering necessary parts, and completing the repairs promptly.

Troubleshooting: HVAC Technicians must have excellent problem-solving skills. You will investigate and identify the causes of system malfunctions and take appropriate steps to resolve the issues efficiently.

System Testing: After installations, repairs, or maintenance, you will test HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning correctly. This may involve using specialized tools and equipment to assess system performance and make adjustments as needed.

Safety Compliance: HVAC Technicians must adhere to safety guidelines and protocols when working with electrical components, refrigerants, and other potentially hazardous materials. Following safety standards is crucial for the well-being of yourself and the occupants.

Documentation: You will maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on HVAC systems. Proper documentation is crucial for tracking system performance, identifying recurring issues, and ensuring compliance with warranty requirements.

Continuous Learning: Staying up-to-date with advancements in HVAC technology, equipment, and industry best practices is essential for providing the best service and maintaining professional competence.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of Trane units is highly advantageous

Relevant certifications or licenses may be required based on regional regulations (e.g., EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants).

Hands-on experience as an HVAC apprentice or technician is beneficial.

Strong understanding of electrical circuits, refrigeration principles, and HVAC system components.

Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Good communication skills.

Able to lift 50+lbs
