About the Opportunity We’re seeking an experienced

Superintendent

to oversee field operations for large-scale

healthcare and higher education

projects in Topeka, Kansas. This is an opportunity to join a respected general contractor known for its collaborative culture, commitment to quality, and long‑standing relationships with leading institutions across the region.

As Superintendent, you’ll lead all on‑site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Base pay range $105,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily field operations for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with schedule, budget, and quality goals.

Lead, coordinate, and supervise all subcontractor activities and site logistics.

Drive a strong safety culture and enforce all company and regulatory safety standards.

Collaborate with the Project Manager, design team, and owner representatives to resolve field issues.

Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, inspections, and schedules.

Review and coordinate project drawings, specifications, and subcontract scopes.

Support project planning, sequencing, and phasing for complex or occupied‑site projects.

Mentor field staff and foster a collaborative, solutions‑oriented jobsite environment.

Qualifications

8+ years of commercial construction experience, including at least 3 years as a lead Superintendent.

Proven success managing

ground‑up or major renovation

projects in healthcare and/or higher education environments.

Strong understanding of building systems, sequencing, and MEP coordination.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules and multiple subcontractor teams.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project preferred.

OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
