Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5

Call Schedule: 1 night/week & 1 weekend/month (home call)

Facility: Inpatient Palliative Care

This job location is not currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

Responsibilities

Inpatient consults

Symptom management

Team collaboration and multidisciplinary approach to care

Timely documentation, education and attending patient rounds

Discharge planning

Quality improvement

Psychosocial support

Coordination of care

Following best practices/evidence based medicine

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
