Texas NeuroRehab is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres and has operated as a medical and behavioral healthcare facility for over 60 years. Texas NeuroRehab Center is currently accepting applications for Speech-Language Pathologists - PRN schedule. There are opportunities in our Long Term Acute Care (LTAC), Inpatient Rehab, and Post-Acute Brain Injury (PABI) programs, weekdays and weekends. Candidates will possess skills in the rehabilitation of neurologically impaired patients, with proficiency in the evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Texas NeuroRehab Center specializes in provision of rehabilitation services to traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury populations, ages 13 and older. Benefits

The following are the job requirements for the SLP position: Extensive knowledge of adolescent and adult speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, and treatment strategies associated with brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological disorders. Education: M.A., M.S., M.Ed., SLPD, or Ph.D in Speech-Language Pathology. Licensure: Current SLP licensure in the State of Texas. Certification in CPR. Experience: Two years in a neurorehabilitation setting. Physical / General Requirements: Able to sustain activity eight hours a day, able to remain on feet eight hours per day, and able to confront a dangerous and aggressive patient. EEO Statement
