Responsibilities
Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
Ensure the cleanliness of the mobile service truck.
Qualifications Heavy equipment dealership experience is helpful; two years or more preferred. Three years of actual truck repair experience required. Bring strong mechanical aptitude, a team‑player mentality and belief in safety first.
Compensation & Schedule Hourly compensation ranges from $20.00 to $50.00. Night, weekend, lead/mentor differentials available. Work schedule and shifts vary depending on business needs; we accommodate a wide range of shifts.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable. CDL‑A is a plus. Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain is required.
Physical Demands Working in, under, and around trucks and trailers. Ability to drive a vehicle, lift, push or pull objects up to 100 pounds. Safe walking, reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, twisting, kneeling as necessary. Work may involve extended standing periods and use of telephone and computer.
Environmental Demands Primarily outdoor work. High noise level. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Coveralls, ear and eye protection provided.
