2nd Shift: 2PM - 10PM
Summary Supervises and coordinates all activities of the Prep department for designated shift(s). Ensuring the accurate, efficient and cost-effective processing of raw goods for Production utilization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the training, coaching and oversight of all Prep Department personnel and activities.
Responsible for ensuring proper levels of staff are maintained within department, while adhering to departmental labor costs.
Manage “real time” inventory and processing requirement levels of raw ingredients, including Thaw, Prep and Spice locations.
Ensure proper levels are maintained at all times.
Ensure the efficient and accurate flow of work orders within the department.
Ensure all paperwork and process data is filled out completely and accurately (including “real time” ingredient tracking and item issuing within the system).
Continually follow-up with Production and Logistics personnel for confirmation of all work in process.
Assure compliance with Safety, Lot tracking, QA, Allergen Awareness, and HACCP policies and procedures.
Maintain and/or exceed expectations regarding procedures, cost per lb, and other departmental standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities Manages a Prep department staff of 30, pending production fluctuation. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education And/or Experience
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and two to three years supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years supervisor experience.
3 years production/manufacturing experience.
