Base pay range
$18.00/hr - $28.00/hr
For over 70 years, Chicago Turnrite Company has been producing precision machined parts of complex geometry and material composition (basic carbon to exotics) in sizes from ½” and above in volumes of 100 – 100,000. Chicago Turnrite is a manufacturing company specializing in CNC machining, Thread and Spline rolling, Hobbing, as well as Friction Welding.
Job Description This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Operator located in the Greater Chicago Area. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating CNC machines, performing quality control checks, and ensuring machining and / or milling processes are completed efficiently. Daily tasks will include setting up and calibrating machinery, reading and interpreting blueprints, and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance. CNC setup is a plus.
Shifts
1st Shift: Monday - Thursday from 6:00am - 3:30pm
2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday from 3:15pm - 12:45pm (10% pay increase)
Will work 1 month in 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.

Qualifications
Experience in operating CNC machines and machinery
Previous knowledge of CNC turning and / or Milling machines
Quality control skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to stand for extended periods
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or associate degree in related field preferred
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus
Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and adjust machines
Perform machine maintenance such as cleaning or adding coolant/oil
Visually inspect and sort parts for defects
Troubleshoot cause of machine alarms
Load and unload equipment and materials
Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the plant
Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
