ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN, MAINTENANCE II
The Electronics Technician, Maintenance II maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, operates, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as high-speed cameras, and ancillary equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Experience operating and maintaining Airborne separation cameras, GoPros, OWLSS cameras and updating cameras controllers is a plus. Experience working offshore on the GRATV is a plus. These functions may take place in laboratory, field, or Flight Line environments. RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives work assignments from the supervisor or more qualified technicians. Applies basic technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturer manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, selecting tools, testing instruments and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. Finished work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. May be required to assist senior level technicians in performing software adaptations, computer problem solving, and repair or perform minor actions without higher-level assistance. May be required to provide guidance and training to lower-level technicians. Required to perform with limited instructions or supervision. Work may require operating in close proximity to aircraft including cockpit. Planning placement, configuring and programming multi-camera arrays in preparation for mission support is required. Requirements: Must be a technical or service school graduate in electronics with two years’ experience as an Electronics Technician. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
May perform work assignments in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment. Some tasks and assignments such as the installation; operation; and maintenance of mobile systems, aircraft systems, or range instrumentation will require work performance in outside environments in heat or cold with exposure to the conditions typical of various work locations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
