Position Summary The Assistant Director of Clinical Education collaborates with the Director to oversee all aspects of the clinical phase of the Physician Assistant Program. The role involves leadership to meet program and student outcomes, ensuring compliance with ARC-PA standards, and working with faculty and clinical sites. The position also involves faculty responsibilities, including teaching, advising, and participating in accreditation and admissions processes.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate clinical curriculum development aligned with program outcomes and PA competencies.

Collaborate with the Clinical Education Team.

Assess and improve the clinical curriculum, student and preceptor performance, and clinical site quality.

Manage clinical site development and monitoring.

Assign clinical coursework and supervise faculty and preceptors.

Teach clinical courses, oversee rotations, and provide student advising.

Contribute to accreditation activities and program evaluation.

Participate in admissions, community engagement, and faculty development.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director and Campus Leadership.

Job Requirements Knowledge

Graduate from an accredited PA program; terminal degree preferred.

Current NCCPA certification and eligibility for state licensure.

2+ years of clinical experience; teaching experience preferred.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, ExamSoft, WebAdMIT.

Abilities

Effective interaction with healthcare providers and administrators.

Leadership and teamwork skills.

Understanding of accreditation and regulations.

Strong presentation and problem-solving skills.

Adaptability and time management.
