Overview Directly responsible for the maintenance, functioning and operation of all medical equipment in the department. He / she will be working closely with a team of nurses and doctors during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures. The successful candidate will be required to work some flexible hours to cover occasionally some late or early cases as well as be a part of an on-call rotation during off hours, weekends and holidays for emergency (e.g. STEMI) cases.

Work closely with a team of nurses and doctors during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.

Be available to cover flexible hours for late or early cases and participate in an on-call rotation during off hours, weekends and holidays for emergency cases (e.g. STEMI).

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB: Work requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following:

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Registered Cardiac Sonographer from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registry is required.

Registered Diagnostic Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) registry is also accepted.

New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse with a minimum of at least one year experience caring for cardiac patients.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to be completed within the 3-month introductory period.

Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires certifications for BLS and ACLS to be granted through the American Heart Association.
