Requisition Number: 24708 About the role: As a Program Manager, Global Radiation Protection you will be responsible for radiation protection with five teams, Global Operating Services (GOS) and Corporate Center. You will work with facility EHS professionals and Site Leadership teams at the 50+ Westinghouse facilities in 19 countries and 5 continents. You will develop Westinghouse's global radiation protection programs, standards, training and tools to ensure rigorous compliance to global expectations. You will report to the Senior Director, Global EH&S. Responsibilities: Lead the planning of radiation protection programs globally across Westinghouse. Oversee and maintain radiation protection procedures to ensure they are understood by all, reflecting industry best practices, meeting regulatory requirements while promoting a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) and a Nuclear Safety Culture. Work with partners at several levels in the business to ensure compliance with local, state, federal radiation protection regulations. Lead Radiation Protection Audit processes at all locations to assess compliance with regulatory programs, identify deficiencies, work with the BUs/GOS to address gaps and identify action plans to preclude external agency audit findings or investigations. Assess program risks and organizational talent management for radiological protection and safety. Provide program leadership and technical expertise to operations in radiological protection, MC&A, occupational and public dose control and monitoring. Analyze trends and report common metrics for radiological safety (e.g., radiological dose, contamination events). Support the BUs and sites when faced with radiological protection challenges including lack of radiological leadership. Lead conformance with global radiological safety practices, and compliance with operating licenses and jurisdictional legal requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience leading a global radiation protection program Certified Health Physicist or NRRPT Registration Prior experience building a radiation protection management program Knowledge of risk management and audit/assessment processes Demonstrated knowledge and experience in emergency response and preparedness, shipping of radioactive materials, dosimetry programs, ALARA and other radiation protection technical programs Salary and benefits: The base salary range for this position is estimated to be $112,400 to $140,500 per year, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
