Project Manager- Materials Processing Responsibilities Lead and manage aggregate production projects, including mining, blasting, crushing, screening, and material handling operations. Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations to meet production goals and deadlines. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of crushing and processing equipment. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Monitor production metrics (throughput, yield, downtime, cost efficiency) and implement process improvements. Manage subcontractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services. Collaborate with engineers, quality control teams, and field supervisors to meet specifications and client requirements. Conduct risk assessments, troubleshoot operational issues, and resolve conflicts as they arise. Prepare progress reports, cost tracking, and forecasting for senior leadership. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all operations. Identify competent subcontractors and suppliers for projects by evaluating them based on price, scope, schedule, terms, qualifications and history with Thalle. Oversee the issuance of subcontracts and supplier purchase orders. Ensure appropriate performance management of subcontractors. Ensure all site operations adhere to Company and site safety policies and protocols. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of progressive experience in mining, aggregates, or materials processing, with at least 3 years in a project management or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of crushing, screening, and material handling equipment. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental compliance regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
