Overview
Lead Import/Export Coordinator at Swisher. The role coordinates and directs the day-to-day import/export activities within Swisher’s supply chain, ensuring shipments move efficiently and in compliance with regulations. Acts as the primary contact for carriers and internal stakeholders, and provides operational guidance to team members or vendors. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for daily import/export documentation and ensuring compliance with all local, national, and international regulations Serve as the first point of contact for carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers; resolve routine issues and escalate complex matters as needed Monitor and report shipment status, proactively communicating delays or risks to internal stakeholders Provide guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders regarding processes and best practices Assist in evaluating carrier performance and gathering data for rate negotiations and cost analyses Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance service levels and reduce costs Maintain accurate records and prepare reports required for audits and regulatory compliance Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field required 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, with direct exposure to import/export processes Solid understanding of international trade regulations and documentation Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Proven ability to communicate effectively across internal departments and with external vendors Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field Experience in a consumer goods or regulated products industry Exposure to supply chain management (SCM) or ERP platforms such as NetSuite Industry-recognized certification such as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) is a plus What We Offer
