Position: High Risk Project Manager

Richmond, VA (Hybrid: 4 days on-site, 1 day telework) Contract:

VITA is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee planning, implementation, and closeout of projects aimed at improving local government practices, focusing on managing and reducing systemic risks with local government entities. Key Responsibilities: Manage multiple high-risk projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Coordinate project activities, including task assignments, progress tracking, budget management, and issue resolution. Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders across government levels, and third-party vendors to ensure project alignment and success. Qualifications: Experience managing high-risk projects in a similar environment. Strong skills in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Seniority Level:
