Procurement and Import Coordinator
is responsible for overseeing the supply chain operations, including production, procurement, and logistics, to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role involves tracking inventory and orders, forecasting future supply needs, and coordinating all import shipments. The coordinator will analyze, manage, and plan the company’s purchasing and import processes to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Manage, consolidate, and coordinate the movement of imported ocean containers. Receive shipping documents from overseas factories and confirm accurate item and purchase order information. Work closely with transportation providers to ensure efficient execution of processes, including obtaining shipping space, confirming shipment ETAs, reviewing routing, and coordinating port releases and delivery appointments. Identify potential shipment problems early, communicate with stakeholders, and implement solutions. Ensure import documentation is submitted to customs brokers for ocean and air shipments. Monitor shipment statuses and ensure customs and freight clearance. Arrange delivery of shipments from port to warehouse as directed by the Warehouse Manager. Audit the 7501 Customs entry summary for each shipment, ensuring accuracy based on established procedures. Properly use HTS codes. Negotiate freight rates with transportation providers to reduce costs and improve service. Perform other daily duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in supply chain environments such as production, procurement, or logistics. Bachelor's degree; equivalent work experience is acceptable. Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Creative problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to work under pressure. Assertive, cooperative, and motivating leadership qualities. Excellent time management, initiative, and drive. Proficiency in computer applications, OMS knowledge a plus. Ability to operate Microsoft Windows and Office products effectively (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). We Offer
