As a Business Development Financial Advisor at Konvergent Wealth Management, you will play a critical role in expanding our reach and deepening an immensely profitable strategic relationship. This is an onsite, full-time role located in the Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Diego area. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate, strengthen, and grow relationships with a large, multi-office CPA firm—positioning Konvergent as the premier wealth management partner for their clients. You will regularly interface with CPA partners and associates, identify and pursue business opportunities, generate, and close new qualified leads for Konvergent Wealth. Beyond opening doors, you will personally engage referred leads, conduct comprehensive discovery, and collaborate with Konvergent’s back-office team to deliver winning proposals that move prospects into valued client relationships. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of business development and advanced wealth advising. You won’t simply be generating referrals—you’ll be leveraging your knowledge of wealth, tax, estate, and insurance planning to help craft impactful solutions for high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) business owners. The great news? This opportunity comes with an existing and highly productive business relationship with a large CPA firm that is already generating significant referrals. For the right advisor, the ability to create meaningful client impact will be both immediate and substantial. Core Responsibilities

In this business-critical role, you will: Serve as the primary relationship manager with key CPA firm partners and associates, building strong, long-term trust-based partnerships. Execute a consistent cadence of onsite meetings, presentations, and follow-ups across three large CPA offices located in LA, Orange County, and San Diego, splitting your time between them. Collaborate with CPAs to identify client situations that align with Konvergent’s advanced wealth strategies and solutions. Proactively uncover opportunities and generate qualified introductions for Konvergent’s advisory team. Engage referred prospects directly, conducting thorough discovery to understand goals, challenges, and opportunities. Partner with the Konvergent back-office team to design and deliver tailored proposals that demonstrate clear value and drive conversion. Educate and equip CPA partners with tools, collateral, and confidence to position Konvergent as their clients’ go-to resource. Partner with internal teams (Engagement, Marketing, Client Success) to ensure timely follow-up, seamless onboarding, and world-class service for referred clients. Track, measure, and report on referral activity, pipeline growth, and partnership engagement. Represent Konvergent at firmwide CPA events, professional gatherings, and local market functions. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Your success will be measured through the following KPIs: Referral Activity: Number of qualified introductions generated through CPA firm relationships. Engagement & Discovery: Number and quality of discovery meetings conducted with referred leads. Proposal Conversion: Effectiveness of proposals delivered in partnership with the back office team. Revenue Impact: New AUM and planning revenue attributable to CPA partnership channels. Engagement: Frequency and quality of touchpoints with CPA partners and associates. Pipeline Conversion: Percentage of referred opportunities moving into active client relationships. Firmwide Integration: Contribution to joint events, trainings, and shared initiatives with CPA partners. Qualifications

You are the ideal candidate if you: Reside in the Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Diego area, with the willingness and ability to commute across three regional CPA offices in each respective location. Have 10+ years of experience in financial services, business development, or a related relationship-driven role. Possess strong networking, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with professional partners. Demonstrate proven success in sourcing new business through referral or COI (Center of Influence) channels. Excel at client engagement, including conducting comprehensive discovery conversations and advancing relationships through value-driven proposals. Understand wealth management concepts and can confidently position Konvergent’s advanced planning strategies (investment, tax, estate, and business transition solutions). Operate with the highest ethical standards and align with Konvergent’s fiduciary-first approach. Hold a Series 65 or equivalent license. Professional designations such as CFP, ChFC, or CPA are preferred but not required. Compensation & Development
