Quality Control Inspector is responsible for a wide range of inspection functions supporting assembly and/or machining operations. Follow programs, documents, drawings, specifications, MRB, CMM and quality standards to perform inspection functions.
EXPERIENCE: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an aerospace/aircraft • Minimum 3 years Quality Inspection aerospace/aircraft • GD&T Tolerance • Inspection of Machine parts
REQUIREMENTS: • Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools/equipment including but not limited tocaliper, micrometer, height gage, hardness and conductivity. • Familiar with surface finish, edge preparation and general appearance of machined parts. • Familiar with outside processing certifications • Proficient with Engineering drawings/models • Computer literate • Understanding of GD&T Tolerance • Basic knowledge of CATIA • Basic understanding of a CMM • Basic understanding of CNC machining • Understanding AS9100/QMS • Perform Audits and report findings • Perform RCCA to solve issues using Lean Manufacturing • Understanding and performing FAIR,s (Net-inspect is a plus) • MRB
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform first article inspections on machined parts using micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices while working in compliance with AS9100 standards. • Conduct inspection of finished machined parts; include in-process from first piece to final inspection. • Working knowledge of conventional inspections tools and gauges such as: Micrometers, Calipers, thread gauges • Communicates with internal customers • Follow inspection (shop) procedures to accept or reject parts and assemblies, etc. • Assembly Inspection • Participates in Audits for AS9100 and Customers • Perform analytical investigations and develop root cause for non-conformance NCMRs and RMAs • Set up, program and operate CMM, as well as other measurement/inspection tools (Verisurf is a plus) • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Hours: *First Shift - Mon. - Fri., 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (1 - NC Crib Inspection) *Second Shift - Mon. - Thurs., 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. (2- SM Fab Inspection) *Weekend Shift: Thurs. - Sun., 4 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (1- Assembly, 1- SM Inspection)
