## **The Opportunity:**Avantor is looking for an Operator on our Nusil site. This role will be a full-time position based in Carpinteria, CA. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a very diverse team in a phenomenal environment. NuSil is involved in the healthcare, aerospace, and biotech industries. First Shift: M-F, 7 am-3:30 pm (Overtime as needed)**What we’re looking for*** **Education:**High School diploma or GED preferred.* **Experience:** 1-2 years of work in packaging or distribution.* **Certification(s):**None required.* **Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience in a chemical plant.* Understanding/familiarity with cGMP and RCRA training.**How you will thrive and create an impact*** Carry out safety precautions.* Responsible for ensuring the lines are set up and running according to the production schedule in accordance with work orders.* Understand line and pump configurations and be able to clean and inspect lines, as well as perform line changes as needed.* Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and ensure that items that fail checks are addressed.* Stage and unload railcars and tank trucks.* Take bulk samples from both railcars and tank trucks and deliver to the QC lab.* Take particle count samples and run particle count tests.* Prepare customer trucks to include sealing, sampling, and associated paperwork. Inspect and close MPOs.* Keep accurate production records.* Collaborates with Supervisors and Maintenance Personnel to resolve equipment setup and operational issues.* Collaborate with the QA Department to identify, recognize, and resolve quality issues.
