Description Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™ at St. Joseph’s Health - Starting Spring 2026.

Start your nursing career with confidence through 12 month-long Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™, designed to support newly NY State Licensed RN's as they transition into clinical practice.

Start: February 16th, 2026 March 2nd, 2026 or April 13th, 2026

Responsibilities As an RN Resident, you’ll receive:

Mentorship from experienced nurses

Peer support and collaboration

Monthly interactive, evidence‑based learning sessions

Hands‑on experience in your chosen track

You’ll build skills in:

Clinical decision‑making

Leadership in patient care

Evidence‑based practice

Professional development planning

Eligibility All newly NY State Licensed RN Residents with less than one year of experience are automatically enrolled. Cohorts start 8 times per year.

Pay Range $38.75–$39.75/hr. (based on experience, education, and skills)

Sign On Bonus Currently offering up to $8,000 in recruitment bonuses for full time, qualified, energetic RN Residents who are passionate about nursing.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

RN Licensed in the State of New York and posted on Office of Professions.

Maintains current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification.

Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
