is looking a Quality Control Inspector to support our CNC machining operations. This individual will perform inspections of machined parts using a variety of precision instruments and report inspection results to the CNC Group Leader and Quality Control Supervisor. The QC Inspector will be responsible for approving all CNC machined production and may occasionally conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) on simple parts as needed.

This is a 1st Shift M-F 6:45am – 3:00pm. Starting at $17.00/HR

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform inspections on CNC machined parts using precision instruments (bore gages, micrometers, calipers, and CMM in operator mode).

Create detailed inspection reports using software such as Microsoft Excel or Paint, and submit to the Quality Control Supervisor and CNC Group Leader.

Conduct first article inspections on simple parts to ensure conformance to tolerances and visual standards.

Prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) and Quality Control Special Studies reports via the FAI database (SharePoint).

Assist in root cause investigations for quality-related issues on parts and assemblies.

Maintain an organized and clean workspace following 5S principles and all safety and quality standards.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.

Qualifications:

Preferred experience using measuring tools and reading blueprints (training provided).

Minimum 3 years of quality control experience in dimensional measurement and evaluation.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Ability to interpret part drawings and use inspection tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Optical Comparator, CMM, and other gauges).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of trigonometry and GD&T a plus.

English required; bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Standing: 60% | Sitting: 40%

Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.

Ability to write, file, use hand tools and a computer.

Must be able to read and communicate effectively.
