What To Expect
As a Tesla Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation and robotics. You will work with process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime. This is a physically demanding role working in tight spaces, requiring walking and standing all day, as well as bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing ladders and lying on the ground intermittently throughout the day. A fall protection harness may be worn when working from heights or from a suspended position. Maintenance Technicians may lift up to 50 lbs and use hand and power tools as needed.
What You'll Do
Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all industrial production and mechatronics equipment
Perform repairs on production-down equipment
Operate and repair every cell on a line
Perform Corrective Maintenance on multiple types of equipment
Work with electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC 3 phase, mechanical systems, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, networks and robotics
Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs or storerooms
Ability to work off-shifts, as needed
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience maintaining injection molding equipment, or aluminum casting equipment and automation, or equivalent training/education
Ability to read and interpret basic assembly instructions
Basic computer skills to report issues and provide inputs
Good mechanical and electrical knowledge to understand typical mechanisms and wiring
Ability to read and use measuring equipment and multimeter for voltage checks and continuity
Basic knowledge of pneumatic system operations
Proficient in English (written and verbal)
Physical Demands
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods (up to 12 hours a day)
Stand and walk for extended periods on varied and uneven terrain
Lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs regularly, including carrying 20 lbs up and down stairs
Stoop, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods
Climb and maintain balance on ladders or scaffolding
Identify issues in a work process and respond to safety signals by sight, touch, and hearing
Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required and follow safety rules

Expected Compensation $32.00 - $48.27/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay may vary based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Details of participation in benefit plans will be provided if an offer is extended.
