Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr – $100,000.00/yr

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Transportation Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our team. This role involves designing and managing roadway projects, ensuring compliance with state and local standards, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver successful infrastructure solutions.
Duties / Responsibilities
Roadway Design: Develop roadway designs and layouts using industry-standard software such as InRoads, ORD, MicroStation, and AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with state and local guidelines.
Project Management: Lead roadway projects from conception through completion, ensuring that schedules, budgets, and client expectations are met.
Plan Preparation: Prepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway and transportation projects.
Coordination & Collaboration: Work closely with traffic, structural, and drainage teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
Client Interaction: Maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and providing practical, effective engineering solutions.
Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT requirements.
Quality Control: Conduct design reviews and ensure accuracy and consistency of project deliverables.
Permitting & Approvals: Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications and other regulatory approvals.
Technical Reports: Prepare technical reports, memos, and other documentation as required for projects.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s Degree is a plus.
5–10 years of roadway engineering experience, focusing on transportation infrastructure projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within six months.
Proficiency in roadway design software such as MicroStation, InRoads, ORD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience with DOT projects (GDOT preferred) and familiarity with applicable design standards.
Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration.
Detail‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
Experience with intersection, sidewalk, bridge replacement, and large‑scale transportation projects is a plus.
Familiarity with traffic engineering principles is a plus.
