Position Summary Responsible for assisting the manager, while supervising apprentice instructors, instructors and activity assistants in their daily job performance. Interacts with guests consistently and assists with staff training as needed. Responsible for teaching children and/or adults how to ski and/or snowboard, while providing support to all Ski and Ride School departments in order to create a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.
This position is located at Snow Summit or Bear Mountain in Big Bear Lake.
Starting wage between $30.80/hr. - $34.95/hr. depending on experience.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to operate equipment as trained
Must be an effective communicator who acts as an ambassador of service for the Company internally to staff and externally to guests with respect and maturity
Capacity to read, understand, and comply with documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and guest policies
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
Strong familiarity and working knowledge of safety practices in ski school operations
Provide documentation of current membership status for a PSIA/AASI Level II Ski or Snowboard certification
Completion of the required BBMR Ski and Ride School training checklist
Completion of the On‑Hill Skier and/or Snowboarder Certification, depending on discipline
Completion of the appropriate clearance card for each level of skill‑based lessons specific to each discipline
Able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
