This is a contingent position based upon contract award.
KBR is seeking an Outreach & Engagement Specialist with strong engineering skills, space systems and supporting ground architectures experience to support our customer in Chantilly, VA, delivering mission‑critical capabilities directly supporting intelligence‑gathering missions from overhead systems. The Specialist serves as a technical advisor to support the Government and focuses on engaging with external stakeholders, promoting overhead systems knowledge, and ensuring effective communication of customer messaging and narratives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform strategic integration across multiple aspects of the program as well as across the IC and DoD communities to assist with outreach and awareness.
Guide software developers and users in the integration and use of program‑specific hardware applications.
Coordinate with the Customer Front Office and other organizations throughout the enterprise to develop content for strategic executive‑level presentations and documents.
Support and help develop governance policy and processes for CONOPs of new programs.
Support outreach activities, informing, educating, and interacting with key members of the IC and DoD, and coordinating and distributing material to internal and external management.
Manage outreach and engagement meeting processes and procedures, including scheduling meetings, attending working groups, and preparing outreach materials.
Analyze and track actions to closure, take meeting minutes, and update engagement Confluence pages.
Minimum Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (master’s degree preferred).
10+ years of experience.
Strong engineering skills in overhead space systems and supporting ground architectures.
Demonstrated experience working with the Intelligence Community and DoD.
Experience with overhead systems, programs, and activities.
Experience interacting with senior executives, including writing correspondence or white papers and developing executive briefings.
Familiarity with developers’ offerings to satisfy customer needs.
Experience developing training materials for executive level and technical SMEs.
Strong communication skills and ability to present technical material clearly.
Experience providing training in person or remotely.
Ability to manipulate graphics, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations for communication.
Additional Compensation KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign‑on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term incentives, long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
