Soccer Shots Los Angeles . Overview We are looking for a motivated individual who is highly organized, detailed, and passionate about our mission. The program manager trainee is a master at project management and is able to handle many tasks simultaneously. This person is responsible for managing the successful execution of each Soccer Shots season through effective scheduling, marketing, and communication so that our vision of positively impacting children is achieved. After successful completion of our training, the program manager trainee will be promoted to program manager. Responsibilities Communicate daily with parents, school directors, and city park contacts Plan, schedule, and execute all program seasons Prepare season marketing materials Keep the Soccer Shots registration system/website and online calendar up to date Respond to email and phone communications and inquiries Keep staff accountable to program and brand standards Collaborate with the Program Director regarding improvement of program quality Perform evaluations and provide administrative support to coaches Train and onboard new coaches Trouble shoot season problems that arise helping make clear decisions and managing execution Visit program partners to build relationships and obtain feedback on our program Coach an average of 15 sessions per week Qualifications Alignment with Soccer Shots Core Values: We own it; We are stronger together; We grow; We pursue excellence; We care; We are candid Professional experience working with children aged 2-8 years Experience in people management Passion for soccer and athletics Bachelor's Degree In addition
to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check. Physical/work Environment Functions in a temperature-controlled office environment a portion of the time. Work requires ability to sit, stand and walk throughout an extended work day (8 – 10 hours); position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work; position may need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion; excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, customers and phone conversations. Position may occasionally have the need to be exposed to an inside/outside sports environment. Work requires ability to run, stop, stoop, bend (a physical, exercise type regimen) in a minimum of 40-minute increments per session. Work Schedule The expected working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed. Some evenings periodically may be required to maintain program quality. In addition, start weeks, make-up dates, special events, etc., are times when flexible hours are needed. Work Location All leadership team members and staff are expected to work from the Soccer Shots office located in Tacoma Washington. Remote work can be done from time to time if efficiencies are gained by doing so. Employment Type This is a full-time, salaried, non-exempt position.
