This individual will design, coordinate, and project manage the fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. They will design and create finished representations for the sprinkler systems using drawing and drafting skills. The drawings produced will guide on-site and office teams. Responsibilities include initial project planning, scheduling, material stock listing, analyzing changes, and solving problems. Job Responsibilities

Review construction contract documents and coordinate with sub-contractors and General Contractor/owner to gather information to design the project’s sprinkler system Determine construction feasibility and systems possibilities Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD, AutoSprink, or HydraCAD Create stock list for all materials required Perform hydraulic calculations Develop initial schedules for preliminary project work Maintain design and historical records for future use Develop positive relationships with customers to meet expectations Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper handover of information Conduct long-range project planning and scheduling Monitor projects for safety, quality, productivity, and profitability Direct field labor for the project to maximize productivity Track hours and crew mix rates Ensure proper staffing on each project Identify changes impacting cost, schedule, or labor Complete change orders/change estimates in a timely manner Monitor project billings for accuracy and cash flow Monitor progress to ensure schedule and budget compliance Assist/lead during field check stages Forecast future manpower requirements Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with codes and permits Administer construction contracts, approve work quality and payments Report progress and modifications to owner and general contractor Recommend improvements in project management procedures Job Qualifications

Construction Management degree or equivalent technical education NICET certification required (In Training or Level I–IV) Experience with AutoCAD, AutoSprink, HydraCAD or similar software Proven ability to complete work on time and meet deadlines Minimum of three (3) years’ fire sprinkler design and project management experience Supervisory experience is a plus Three years’ experience in commercial, industrial, and residential design Detail-oriented with drafting skills Willing to coordinate well with others Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willing to pass post-offer drug test, background and reference check All qualified applicants with Western States Fire Protection Company will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation and gender identity, national origin or status as a qualified individual with a disability or protected veteran.
