Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Structured Cabling Project Manager
to lead and oversee projects involving structured cabling, security systems, audio/visual, access control, and fire alarm installations. This role is responsible for managing every phase of the project lifecycle-from initial planning to final delivery-while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and manage low voltage system installation projects from start to finish. Lead and supervise field technicians and subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance and adherence to project specifications. Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure consistent communication and project alignment. Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints. Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Conduct site visits to monitor quality, resolve issues, and maintain project timelines. Oversee budgets, manage change orders, and work with accounting for accurate invoicing. Ensure installations meet all local, state, and national codes and regulations. Manage material procurement, logistics, and inventory for assigned projects. Proactively resolve problems to avoid delays and control project costs. Deliver projects that consistently meet or exceed client expectations. Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications:
Associate's, Bachelor's, or equivalent technical education in Business, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field 5-7 years of experience managing low voltage or industrial electrical projects BICSI and RCDD certification highly preferred Proficient in construction and project management software (e.g., Procore(must have), Bluebeam) Solid understanding of electrical systems, schematics, P&IDs, and process mechanical drawings Strong technical knowledge of low voltage systems: structured cabling, AV, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, etc. Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
